About Walks Amsterdam
Walks Amsterdam publishes free self-guided walking routes and travel guides about Amsterdam's art, architecture, markets and urban nature. Choose your own pace and follow the stops without booking a guided group tour.
Amsterdam Explorer
Amsterdam Explorer is the byline used for the site's travel guides. Follow the links on each article to explore related walks and the sources behind practical information.
How to use our guides
Distances and walking times are approximate. Our maps show the guide's stops; they are not live reports of access conditions. Use the directions links and signs on the ground, and check that a route suits your mobility needs.
Practical information and corrections
Articles retain their original publication dates. When practical information is checked, a separate review date appears with links to the relevant sources. Market schedules, courtyard access and transport arrangements can change; check the linked venue or operator before a special trip.
To suggest a correction, contact @walksamsterdam on Instagram and include the guide URL and the detail that needs updating.
